about rachel

I am originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where I grew up in a more... medically oriented, not theatrical, family. My medical expertise only extends to misdiagnosing myself on WebMD (oops) so i don't think anyone was really surprised when I moved to NYC to pursue acting.  Regardless, I am eagerly waiting for my Grey's Anatomy gig so I can make my dad super proud.

Nowadays, you can find me all over New York City working on films, stages, and yoga studios (yes. I'm a yoga teacher too!) I have taken on leading and supporting roles in multiple short films, have starred in NYC and regional premieres of contemporary stage plays, and work extensively in classical theatre here in the city (companies include The Public Theater, Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre, and Titan Theatre Company). Oh, and within my first 6 months in New York City, I decided it would be a GREAT idea to write, produce, and perform in my own one woman show. So that's what I did. Video here if you want to check it out! I sing, I make jokes...it's a good time.

Whether it's Juliet, Emily Webb, or  Kate (a determined and intelligent woman terrified to put in contacts), I am always honored to play such strong, smart, grounded women; beautiful inside and out.

I hold a BFA in Acting from Missouri State University and my MA in Classical and Contemporary Text (Acting) from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I currently study at Anthony Meindl Acting Workshop with Sarah Baskin and am a proud ensemble member of Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre
